BEN WHITEHEAD scores five against Fairford Town.

Pre-Season Friendly

Fairford Town   2 – 8   Cirencester Town

Cirencester made the short journey to Cinder Lane to face newly promoted Fairford Town who will play in the Hellenic League - Premier Division in the upcoming season.  The home side are now under the stewardship of former Centurion Jody Bevan and Chris Smith.

The visitors put on a display of fluid football and clinical finishing against a valiant home side - scoring four in each half.

JACK WATTS opened the scoring after five minutes and BEN WHITEHEAD scored the first of his five on the night eleven minutes later.

The much travelled LEE SMITH pulled a goal back for the home side before LOUIS LOADER regained the two goal cushion shortly after the mid-point of the half.

BEN WHITEHEAD scored his second before the interval and added two more within 6 minutes of the re-start.

LIAM GALE doubled the Fairford tally with his first touch of the ball before FELIPE BARCELOS converted a free kick from just outside the home penalty area.

BEN WHITEHEAD completed the scoring with his fifth and final goal of the night.
