Danny Gudger brace secures points at high flying Slough.

Slough Town 0 - 2 Cirencester Town
Cirencester Town Development Team’s top marksman, 32 goal Danny Gudger, was promoted to the First Team for the visit to 4th placed Slough Town and he rewarded Manager Charlie Griffin’s faith by scoring the two goals that secured the 3 points.
The first half was played at a frenetic pace at the new home of Slough Town which has a 3G pitch enabling quick, counter attacking football to be played. As a result both sides created openings, with the home side looking the more dangerous, but despite several corner kicks they were unable to break through.
As the half was drawing to a close Danny Gudger found himself 1v1 with ‘keeper Shaun Rowley but the ‘keeper managed to block his effort and a few minutes later the teams went to the break with no goals to show for their efforts.
Within two minutes of the re-start it all changed as Kerry Morgan latched onto a Slough clearance and slipped the ball to DANNY GUDGER, just inside the home penalty area – left channel. The striker exhibited great composure as he evaded the covering defender’s challenge to find himself facing a rapidly closing ‘keeper. He moved left towards the by-line and clipped a low left footed shot inside the far right post to score his first goal for the First Team. 0-1.
Five minutes later DANNY GUDGER scored again as he collected a long ball down the centre, near the front edge of the home penalty area, took one touch to control before poking it inside the bottom left corner. 0-2.
The home side then threw everything but the kitchen sink at the Cirencester defence forcing them back towards the front edge of their penalty area but Cirencester were determined to hang on to what they had and survived the onslaught with occasional forays of their own.
