Dunstable Town  1 - 1 Cirencester Town

Cirencester stretched their unbeaten run to four games when a very late penalty kick was converted to earn a point at Dunstable Town in an eventful match that had three penalty kicks and two Red Cards.

‘The Centurions’ put their hosts under early pressure with Kerry Morgan particularly prominent, with crosses and a couple of long range shots, and Gethin Jones volleyed a corner kick wide.

Nathan Olukanmi caused the visitors some problems with his pace but Cirencester survived and shortly afterwards were awarded a penalty kick for handball. Alan Griffin struck the kick firmly towards the bottom left corner where Jack Smith made a very good save to deny the striker.

On the half hour Dunstable opened the scoring when the dangerous NATHAN OLUKANMI latched onto a through ball and clipped it over an advancing Glyn Garner and under the bar.  1-0.

The defences held firm until the interval but shortly after the break Dan Demkiv crashed a shot against the home cross-bar.

As the game was entering its final phase a long ball from the right landed on the edge of the Cirencester penalty area where Kelvin Bossman collected it and as he entered the box and shot Bennett attempted a block that resulted in the home side being awarded a penalty kick and the defender a second Yellow Card - swiftly followed by a Red. Danny Talbot stepped up to take the kick and drove it against the right post where it rebounded and was cleared.

With nothing to lose Cirencester pushed forward and in ‘added-time’ they were awarded a second penalty kick after Griffin was pushed as he lined up his header. The culprit, Gedeon Okita, was shown a straight Red Card. KERRY MORGAN drove the spot kick firmly down the centre to level.  1-1
