DAN DEMKIV, recently released by National League North side Nuneaton Town, made his debut this evening for Cirencester Town at St Neots Town in the clash of the Southern Premier strugglers which ended in a 1-1 draw.
Demkiv, who is 20 on Boxing Day, is a winger who made 11 appearances for Nuneaton this season and has turned out six times in recent weeks for Toolstation Western League Premier Division side Melksham Town, where he has been playing alongside former Centurion Luke Ballinger.
The teenager has been training with Bath City, where Cirencester Town boss Charlie Griffin does some youth coaching, and has taken out dual registration at the Corinium Stadium.
Griffin will be discussing the player's availability this week with Melksham boss Darren Perrin.
Demkiv formerly played for the Southampton U18s and U21s and initially joined Salisbury on his release by the Saints.
He looked very quick and lively on his Ciren debut, particularly in the opening 20 minutes.
The kick-off was put back 15 minutes after Cirencester were delayed en route but they made a lightning fast start with a goal from captain Mat Liddiard in the second minute.
That was cancelled out by an 18th minute strike from James Hall and the visitors had to be very resolute in defence to hang on for a point.
