The Centurions hit for six by The Waders.
Biggleswade Town 6 - 0 Cirencester Town
The Centurions conceded 6 goals despite the best efforts of new goal-keeper Raajan Gill who made numerous saves and was applauded from the pitch after the match by the home supporters.
Cirencester seemed to have survived the initial thrust from The Waders and we're getting a foothold in the game when they conceded the opening goal after 20 minutes. A corner kick resulted in a bout of head tennis on the front edge of the 6 yard box and a stroke of luck for the home side as a TONY BURNETT downward header went through the legs of a defender on the line.
Two minutes later Kalum Youngsam had a chance to level the score but his volley was comfortably caught by Ian Brown in the home goal and shortly afterwards a firm strike from Adam Connolly fizzed past the left post.
Biggleswade increased their lead after Rhys Hoenes carried the ball along the by-line and into the 6 yard box for TONY BURNETT to poke home from one yard.
Cirencester continued to push forward with Ollie Knight sending in a number of crosses from the left flank.
After the interval Cirencester had plenty of possession and pushed the home side back but couldn't break through a solid defence.
Midway into the half Biggleswade collected a Cirencester clearance kick and quickly fed it down the right channel for INIH EFFIONG to drive it inside the left post.
TONY BURNETT completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot and scored the final goal of the game when he curled a right footed shot past an unsighted Raajan Gill.
In between these goals CONNOR HALL scored a firm header.
