Charlie Griffin delighted with his young bucks after victory over fifth-placed Dunstable

TWO teenagers scored their first goals for the club as Charlie Griffin's youthful revolution at Cirencester Town continued with an invaluable 2-0 win over Dunstable Town, their first victory over a top-five side this season.
That's seven points from a possible nine as Town moved further away from the danger zone into 18th place.
Right back Kieran Diaz-Benitez (19) had put the hosts in front in the eighth minute, coolly finishing a delightful Adam Connolly cross. But they had to survive some nervy moments in the final hour played against 10-man Dunstable after Gedeon Okita had been sent off for his mistimed challenge on a fast-breaking Elijah Chilekwa in the 34th minute.
Nerves were finally settled when Bristol City loanee James Difford came off the bench to finish off to sweeping Ciren by netting at the near post in the 86th minute.
Almost as pleasing as the three points for Griffin was the clean sheet for his inexperienced defence. Eighteen-year-old Robbie James looked far from out of place on his home debut at centre back alongside the excellent Ben Brown - a veteran of the back five at 21.
Manager Griffin said: "You could see why Dunstable are top five so I was delighted to get the win. The red card was harsh but I'll take that little bit of luck. We worked a great early goal and I thought we matched them when it was 11 v 11. This is a very young side and one thing they will have to learn is how to put teams away. We were guilty of not finishing off our chances in the second half. This team is a work in progress and they have worked very hard for me. They know I am on the lookout for more players with my focus particularly being to bring in a striker to help Aidan (Bennett) and 'Diffs'."
Griffin then turned his attention to Saturday's FA Trophy First Round Qualifying tie against Havant & Waterlooville of the Conference South. Griffin said: "Lee Bradbury is sure to have his side well prepared. Havant are a big team with a lot of history but we will take a lot of confidence from the last three games and we are only looking forward."
