Cirencester come from behind twice to win five goal thriller.

Cirencester Town   3 – 2   Cinderford Town

Cirencester had to come from behind twice to win a five goal thriller against Gloucestershire rivals Cinderford Town.

The Foresters opened the scoring as early as the 6th minute when GETHIN HILL carried the ball across the pitch to fire home across Harvey Rivers from the left channel of the home penalty area. 0-1.

Cirencester equalised when OLLIE KNIGHT placed his shot inside the right post from the edge of the area. 1-1.

Six minutes later GETHIN HILL scored his second from the penalty spot after a foul on Miles John who had been registered for Cinderford earlier in the day. 1-2.

Back came the home side as MATT LIDDIARD headed an Ollie Knight cross inside the right post to level once again. 2-2.

As the interval approached ROSS LANGWORTHY headed a deep James Coates cross inside the right post to secure the lead for Cirencester. 3-2.

The second half was goal-less but not free of opportunities as both sides pushed forward – Cirencester looking to ‘kill-off’ the game and Cinderford searching for an equaliser.

Jack Camm had a shot saved by Harvey Rivers legs and Aidan Bennett headed over at the back post to list but two.
