Brian signs goalkeeper from Hereford

Cirencester Town have signed highly-rated young goalkeeper Harvey Rivers from Midland League champions Hereford FC.

report from nonleague.pitchero.com

Bulls manager Peter Beadle confirmed that Rivers had decided to sign for Cirencester after making over 30 appearances last season.

Rivers joined Hereford at the start of the season from Gloucester City and was ever-present for them until the start of December 2015.

He began his career at Hereford United before joining the Cheltenham Town youth set-up and then subsequently Gloucester.

He found opportunities limited at the Tigers and also spent loan spells at Bishops Cleeve and Cinderford Town during his time at Gloucester.

"Harvey is at an age where he wants to be playing week in week out," Beadle said. "With Martin Horsell here I can't guarantee Harvey first-team football each week. By joining Cirencester, Harvey has been told he will be their number one, and I wouldn't want to get in the way of that. I totally understand Harvey's decision and would like to thank him for all of his efforts last season, not only on the pitch, but also on the training ground".
