Leigh Henry has left the club

Club Captain Leigh Henry has moved on

It is with some regret that we have to announce that club captain Leigh Henry has called time on his stint at the club and has signed for promotion chasing rivals Chippenham Town.

Leigh joined the club during the 2012 – 2013 season and started his time with us in the 0 – 0 draw at Shortwood United on boxing day 2012. His last game was the 3 – 0 win against league leaders Poole Town on 27th February 2016.

Leigh was a club man on and off the pitch with his encouragement of the younger players and was the first to join in with any after match celebrations and club activities. He missed half of the 2014 – 15 season through injury but since his return he rarely missed a game.

He was another true gentleman who will be missed both on and off the pitch and we wish him well at his new club apart from when we visit them on Easter Bank Holiday Monday.
