Determined performance at Hungerford brings home the 3 points.
Hungerford Town 1 – 2 Cirencester Town
Cirencester made the comparatively short journey to Bulpit Lane to face 5th placed Hungerford Town and after surviving the initial pressure from the home side took the lead when Matt Liddiard chased a ball to the bye-line and pulled it back for CHARLIE GRIFFIN to finish from right of the penalty spot.
With the advantage of the slope Cirencester gradually began to apply some pressure of their own and just before the interval increased their lead after a swift counter attack enabled Brad Hooper to drive down the right channel before crossing to CHARLIE GRIFFIN who avoided an incoming challenge and placed his shot inside the right post.
Within four minutes of the re-start NAT JARVIS pulled a goal back for the home side as he managed to squeeze the ball home at the near post following a corner kick.
The early goal encouraged Hungerford and they pushed forward in search of an equaliser and ten minutes after their goal James Clark drove the ball over the Cirencester crossbar when well placed.
As the pressure increased on Cirencester they displayed tremendous resolve and once the ball was won countered quickly to cause the home side some concern.
