Cirencester lose by odd goal in seven after conceding 3 goals in first 19 minutes to Kettering.
Kettering Town 4 - 3 Cirencester Town
Kettering Town scored 3 goals in the first 19 minutes through BRETT SOLKHON, RENE HOWE and BEN STEPHENS but Cirencester showed good character to pull a couple back by the interval.
CHARLIE GRIFFIN scored both - his first came after a James Mortimer-Jones cross from the left reached him at the back post and he volleyed home from 4 yards. His second was a minute before the break as he struck a firm shot from the edge of the area that hit the underside of the cross-bar before bouncing down and over the line.
The visitors continued to push forward in search of an equaliser and with nine minutes remaining CHARLIE GRIFFIN completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot after Zack Kotwica was brought down. The offender, Chris Carruthers, was dismissed from the pitch as a result.
Despite plenty of Cirencester pressure and goal mouth action it was Kettering who took the three points with a goal in the 88th minute as WILSON CARVALHO countered with a quick break to score.
Kettering 'keeper, Craig Hill, pulled off a couple of late saves to ensure his side kept the points.
