Impressive Cirencester score three against leaders Poole Town to collect the three points.
Cirencester Town 3 – 0 Poole Town
A superb performance from The Centurions enabled them to secure all three points against league leaders Poole Town.
The home side were in determined mood and opened the scoring after 20 minutes when OLLIE KNIGHT darted towards a quickly taken free kick and cleverly flicked the ball over his shoulder so that it looped over the ‘keeper, who was guarding his near post, and dropped inside the far post.
In 1st half added time BRAD HOOPER latched onto the ball in the Poole penalty area and tucked a neat shot inside the left post.
ROSS LANGWORTHY completed the scoring 3 minutes into the 2nd half as he picked his spot when slipped through.
Much as Poole tried to reduce the arrears Cirencester provided stubborn opposition with Josh Langley making several fine saves including one from a penalty.
Cirencester were reduced to 10 men in the78th minute when Aidan Bennett was awarded a 2nd Yellow Card, much to everyone’s amazement, but they were not to be denied their victory and held firm.
