Cirencester work hard in heavy conditions to earn a point at Dorchester.

Dorchester Town  1 - 1  Cirencester Town

The Centurions made the long journey to Dorchester for an evening match and came back from a goal down to secure a valuable point.

The home side  kicked-off on a heavy pitch, due to the rain just before kick-off and during the match, but were soon put under pressure by Cirencester.

It was against the run of play that the home side opened the scoring when a long ball down the centre of the pitch cleared the Centurions back line to land near the front edge of the penalty area. Cirencester 'keeper Josh Langley rushed forward to clear but LUKE HOLMES reached the ball first and moved the ball to his right to round the onrushing Langley before smashing it into the empty net before the 'keeper could recover his ground.

Cirencester equalised following a corner kick from the left that MARK PRITCHETT powerfully headed home from just outside the centre front edge of the 6 yard box.

The rest of the game was 'nip and tuck' with neither side able to convert the few chances created as the pitch became heavier and more difficult to retain balance.
