Cirencester travel to Weymouth but match postponed before kick-off due to loose panel on main stand.
Weymouth P v P Cirencester Town
Cirencester made the 2¾ hour journey to Weymouth and upon arrival were met by the sight of a Fire Engine, complete with a platform tower, parked by the main stand.
A more detailed look revealed that a piece of 'side-cladding' on the stand was missing and the ends of the two adjacent panels were flapping about slightly.
As a result that area of the ground was cordoned off for safety reasons whilst a call to an engineer based in Poole was made to se if he could attend to assess the danger.
Kick-off was initially delayed for half an hour but before the appointed time the referee decided to postpone the game.
As the Cirencester players and supporters boarded the coach to return the Weymouth squad were having a training session on the pitch.
The next match for The Centurions is a home fixture against Paulton Rovers on Tuesday 23rd February (Kick Off 7:45pm).
