The Centurions lose by odd goal in three to Histon.
Cirencester Town 1 - 2 Histon
The Centurions suffered their second home defeat in four days when they lost to Histon on Tuesday.
Cirencester started strongly with Aidan Bennett firing two fierce shots narrowly wide of the target in the opening minutes but it was Histon who opened the scoring in the 7th minute when JOSHUA OYINSAN finished from a narrow angle following a long ball down the right channel.
Cirencester had most of the possession for the rest of the half but were unable to open their account until three minutes after the interval when Bennett clipped a ball from the left to the back post where ZACK KOTWICA headed home.
Histon restored their lead on the hour following a free kick on the right flank that eventually landed at the feet of DANNY RUMENS and he placed a low shot through a crowd of players inside the right post.
Cirencester dominated the remainder of the match but could not break through a stubborn Histon defence.
