Hitchin score two goals in four minutes to defeat Cirencester.
Hitchin Town 2 – 0 Cirencester Town
Cirencester were on the road again for the third successive match to play an ‘in-form’ Hitchin Town in a league fixture and during the last 20 minutes conceded two goals in four minutes to return empty handed.
Cirencester started brightly and threatened the home goal but could not convert the chances created and at half time honours were even with neither side able to open their account.
After the interval the home side looked more decisive and MATT LENCH opened the scoring after 71 minutes when he produced a looping header at the left post that dropped inside the right post.
This was quickly followed by a second as a cross from the right passed several players to reach ROBBIE BURNS on the left side of the Cirencester penalty area and he placed his shot inside the right post to complete the scoring.
