Cirencester secure valuable three points on the road.
St. Neots Town 1 - 2 Cirencester Town
Following their third successive defeat last week Cirencester Manager Brian Hughes had been busy recruiting players to bolster his injury-hit side and his efforts were rewarded as his team secured the three points at St. Neots Town.
Former Captain Shayne Anson has returned from Paulton Rovers on a permanent basis whilst Adam Connolly (Gloucester City) and Jamal Lawrence (Cheltenham Town) have joined on a temporary basis.
The home side enjoyed plenty of possession in the first half and took the lead five minutes before the interval through RYAN HAWKINS but Cirencester equalised four minutes after the break following good work from Aidan Bennett and Charlie Griffin that created the opportunity for ZACK KOTWICA to lob the oncoming ‘keeper.
CHARLIE GRIFFIN scored the winning goal for Cirencester in the 73rd minute from close range following a free kick that was initially cleared but was quickly returned.
In the final minutes Shayne Anson was dismissed for a high challenge but Cirencester managed to hold out.
