Cirencester knocked out of Red Insure Cup by Hungerford.
Red Insure Cup - First Round
Cirencester Town 0 - 1 Hungerford Town
Cirencester manager Brian Hughes took the opportunity to check the condition of a couple of his First Team squad who were returning from injury whilst resting several others in this Red Insure Cup – 1st Round match.
Hungerford opened strongly and scored the only goal of the game in the 16th minute following the award of a harsh free kick on the left flank. Dean Stow sent the kick towards the far post where MATT BERRY-HARGREAVES rose to produce a glancing header that entered the net inside the right post.
The home side pushed forward towards the end of the half looking for an equaliser but were unable to break down a well organised Hungerford defence.
During the second half Cirencester dominated possession but failed to convert the opportunities created enabling Hungerford to progress to the next round.
GOOD LUCK in the next round.
