King's Lynn Town win the points at Cirencester following superb 40 yard strike.

Evo-Stik Southern League - Premier Division

Cirencester Town   0  -  1   King's Lynn Town

King’s Lynn, who transferred from the Northern Premier Division for this season, took all three points following a 40 yard strike from MICHAEL CLUNAN that struck the inside of the left post en-route to the back of the net.

In a game where both defences were dominant The Linnets appeared to have a shoot on sight policy and were rewarded when Clunan scored in the 35th minute and their defence was able to hold on to the lead despite a late rally by Cirencester during which Ollie Knight headed against the right post.

Most of the action took place between the penalty areas where the visitors were very lively but found it difficult to break down the Cirencester defence. The Centurions struggled to retain possession for long and were also unable to get behind their visitors back line.
