Cirencester held by extra time Hungerford goal
Evo-Stik Leauge Southern Premier Division
Cirencester Town 1 - 1 Hungerford Town
Cirencester hosted fourth placed Hungferford Town in this penultimate league match of the season knowing that only a win would keep alive their own slim chances of making the play offs.
Ciren went ahead through a fine headed goal from former Hungerford player, Ian Herring.
Although Hungerford dominated the play in the second half, it looked like Ciren were going to see out the game. Rght on the stroke of full time, Hungerford were awarded a penalty which was well saved by Glyn Garner, but two minutes into injury time, Isaac Osei-Tutu forced the ball home for the equaliser.
The result ensured that Hungerford have secured their place in the Play Offs whilst Ciren unfortunately have just come up short.
