Cirencester Town go joint top after a tough match at Stratford
Calor League Division 1 S&W
Stratford Town 0 - 2 Cirencester Town
Cirencester Town visited in-form Stratford Town, who had scored 16 goals in their last 3 matches (22 in their last 5 matches) and in a dominent display came away with a clean sheet 2-0 win.
Although both teams played entertaining football, the defences were mainly on top during the first half and the score remained 0-0 at the break.
In the second half, a dominent Ciren were awarded what looked a harsh penalty on 60 mins which Steve Davies converted and Ciren's deserved win was sealed on 80 mins when Steve Davies scored again from a tap in after a goalmouth scramble.
