Tetbury Town FC cancels charity football match Vs Lashings All-stars.

It is with some regret that Tetbury Town Football Club (TTFC) has to announce the cancellation of its Charity Football game with Lashings All-stars on 22nd September 2013 at Cirencester Town Football Club.

TTFC chairman Carl Wait commented of his extreme disappointment that this event has had to be cancelled. He went on to say; “due to a poor response on the take up of sponsorship packages from local businesses we have had to cancel what would have been the ‘jewel in the crown’ of a fantastic summer of fundraising completed by TTFC for Munday’s Mission.

This is very unfortunate, but we cannot jeopardise the funds already raised this summer”. He added that “the TTFC fundraising committee has been very active. Through fund raising activities from the Lashings event and sponsors this has to-date raised £6000 that will be donated to Munday’s Mission in the coming month”.

And with still more potential funds that could see this amount be raised further, he remained buoyant that “TTFC has contributed a significant amount to the Munday’s Mission fundraising total that will culminate in the life changing surgery for Lewis Munday”.
