First Team in impressive FA Cup win at Banbury

FA Cup – First Qualifying Round

Banbury United   1 – 2  Cirencester Town

On Saturday Cirencester Town visited Banbury United in the First Round Qualifying stage of the FA Cup.

After trailing by a goal after 5 minutes, Ciren equalised through Steve Davies just before half time and won the match with a last minute goal which was attributed to Leigh Henry by the announcer but may have been deflected in by a defender.

Ciren now progress to the Second Round Qualifying stage, the draw for which should take place tomorrow (Monday 16th September 2013). The match will take place on Saturday 28th September 2013 which means that our away league match at Paulton Rovers scheduled for that date will need to be re-arranged.
