Cirencester Town Under 10s receive financial support from local McDonalds

Cirencester Town FC has received a welcome financial boost from local McDonald’s franchisee, Paul Booth, who has generously donated a set of personalised sports jackets and new goal nets to the clubs U10s side.

Paul, who owns eight restaurants in the area, has continued to build on his charitable legacy after he donated a brand new playing kit to Highworth Town FC and also helped to fund new goalposts and provide coaching courses for FC Abbey Meads last year.

Sir Geoff Hurst, McDonald’s Director of Football, said, “The McDonald’s Community Football Programme aims to improve the standard of the grassroots game in communities across the UK. Paul’s great commitment to support local clubs in the area like Cirencester Town FC and Rodborough FC is inspiring and helps make grassroots flourish in the area.”

Paul Booth, McDonald’s Franchisee said: “Cirencester FC is a well established club who offer a lot to the local community. The standard of football that they teach to their members is outstanding and this donation a reward for all their hard work. ”

Nick Dyer, coach of Cirencester U10s, said: “We are incredibly grateful for Paul’s generous donation to the club. All of the team love their new jackets and they now look and feel more like a team on and off the pitch.” McDonald’s, Community Partner of The FA, is dedicated to supporting grassroots football by helping to raise standards and develop best practices across the game. By 2014, McDonald’s has pledged to train a further 30,000 coaches, support over 6,000 local clubs and 400,000 Volunteers.
