First Team lose to high flying Poole despite committed display
Evo-Stik League Southern D1 S&W
Poole Town 3 - 0 Cirencester Town
Cirencester Town lost 3-0 away at second-placed Poole Town on Saturday despite putting in a committed performance and creating several chances of their own.
With Ciren trailing 1-0 at half-time to a Warren Byerley goal, Poole scored two further goals in the second half through Byerley again and Michael Walker to secure a deserved victory.
To make matters worse, a bad ankle injury to Sam Collier, which fortunately was not diagnosed as broken, confirmed this was not going to be Ciren's day. We would like to thank Poole Town for their care and concern for Sam as he was being treated and waiting to go to hospital.
