Under 10s continue their unbeaten run
Costswold Youth League
Slimbridge U10s 1 - 5 Cirencester Town U10s
The game took some time to get going, Cirencester looking a little rusty. However 6 minutes in and William Dyer provided a great cross for Joel Worsfold to pressurise the keeper and scored with menacing persistence.
Ben Carter made a great pass through to Aaron Burcham who finish with precision.
Philip Macloughlin came on in centre midfield unsettling Slimbridge who struggled with his physicality and determination; he unselfishly tapped through for Carter to score.
Moments later Macloughlin was at it again, with a lovely one-two with Worsfold, Macloughlin finished the move off, 4-0 to go into half time.
Cirencester started the second half much the same as the first, a little sleepily and it's fair to say that Slimbridge caught Ciren napping in midfield and confused the defence to open their account 4-1.
Slimbridge had their tails up now and were fighting hard to close the gap however Burcham showed his predatory instincts collecting a goal kick and scoring 5-1.
Cirencester were unable to convert any of their pressure in the remaining minutes of the half and were lucky not to concede as Slimbridge cut the Ciren defence in half and sadly missed a sitter.
