Under 10s remain top of the table with a strong performance against Wotton Rovers

Cotswold Youth League

Cirencester Town U10s 11 - 0 Wotton Rovers U10s

From kick off Ciren started strongly playing most of the football in the Wotton half.

Four minutes in saw Ollie Claxton-Newmans’ predatory instincts to put the ball through the goalie's legs to open the account. A couple of minutes later Lewis Bradley tapped in from a Ben Carter corner.

Three more goals followed in fairly quick succession, first Aaron Burcham, next Lewis and then a great move between Lewis and Luke Pennington with Luke finishing off from the left.

The goals kept on coming with Luke finding the net again and Lewis coolly tapping in from a through ball from Ollie for his hat-trick. Not to be outdone Luke fired one in from outside the box for his hat-trick.

Wotton came out in the second half with renewed vigour and found their way into the Cirencester box and earned a corner only for it to be cleared and passed up field for Lewis to score his forth on the break. An own goal quickly followed.

Again, the second half was all Cirencester pressure. Despite the pressure, Cirencester weren't able to find the net due to a fantastic second half by the Wotton goalie.

Towards the end of the match, with a little indecision in the Wotton box, Ollie came charging through to finish the job off for 11-0.

Man of the match: Kai Genever
