Under 10s beat Tetbury to continue their fine start to the season
Cotswold Youth League
Cirencester Town U10s 10 - 1 Tetbury Town U10s
Tetbury kicked off, Ciren were straight at them and after some great link up play from the midfield saw a 4-pass build up to see Ollie Claxton-Newman scoring Ciren's first.
William Dyer made a break down the left wing to play Aaron Burcham in on goal to score. Burcham then turned provider for Luke Pennington to fill the back of the net.
Claxton-Newman was on the score sheet again for a well taken goal. Burcham made a break down the right wing taking on three players before he found himself in front of goal, with a great shot to make it.
A corner saw Claxton-Newman head the ball goal-ward but the ball took a cruel deflection from a Tetbury head that sent the goalie the wrong way. Dyer and Ben Carter combined well early in the second half for Carter to bag 2 goals.
Tetbury were a lot stronger in the second half and managed to pinch a goal back to make it 8 - 1. Dyer again turned provider but this time a pass to Pennington who playing at striker bagged his second of the game. 9 - 1 Pennington made a run down the left wing to beat 2 players and then calmly picked a corner of the net to score to finish 10 - 1.
Man of the match Luke Pennington.
