Cirencester Town Under 10s win away at Charfield

Cotswold Youth League.

Charfield U10s 0 - 11 Cirencester Town U10s

Our Under 10s travelled to Charfield for our second game of the season.

Cirencester started pensively but with strong passing and with several new players in the team, settled fairly quickly and were on it from the off.

5 mins in the Charfield keeper saved a good shot by Ben Carter, however Jonny Floyd followed up strongly to open the account.

2 mins later Joel Worsfolds' debut, in the red and black stripes, found himself in front of goal finishing a Ben Carter cross for 2-0.

Charfield kept fighting. Joel had a shot deflected in off a Charfield player, and Jonny causing chaos in the centre midfield also found the net. Jonny then went on to score his hat trick shortly before half time.

The second half started strongly for Ciren. Joel put a good ball through to Eve Timbrell who on her debut scored her first goal.

Charfield kept battling but never really threatened William Dyer's goal net.

Luke Pennington had an open shot on goal knocked in by Eve and not to be outdone found the net himself moments later. Joel kept firing the crosses in from the right and Ben was on hand to find the back of the net for 10-0.

Philip Mcloughlin played an excellent second half at centre mid, chasing balls, tackling strongly, picking accurate passes and linking all of the players around him and was rewarded for his hard work with a goal at the end making it 11-0.

Man of the match: Jonny Floyd.
