Under 14s beat Bristol City S.C. in County Cup semi final
Gloucestershire Under 10s County Cup
Cirencester Town U14s 1 - 0 Bristol City S.C
Cirencester Town Under 14s were at home against Bristol City S.C in the semi final of the Gloucestershire County Cup, the winning team to be rewarded with a place in the final at the Gloucestershire F.A headquarters in Bristol.
From the kick off Cirencester took the game to City and with every player giving 100% they kept the pressure on the Bristol team.
After a run of attacks on the City goal, Jack Uzzell broke down the left hand side and struck a shot at goal which, after being saved by the keeper, came hurtling back into play. The ball came to the feet of Max Lloyd and a finely struck left foot shot found its way into the back of the net. Cirencester went in at half time 1-0 up.
The second half started much as the first with Cirencester pressing the City players on all areas of the pitch.
A fine display of football by the Cirencester team eventually saw them as 1-0 winners and a place in the cup final. With a few more scoring chances converted, Cirencester could have ended the game with a bigger winning margin. However before the game the management would have taken a 1-0 win with open arms, considering that they were playing a very good City side.
