Under 14s reach County Cup Semi Final with win at home to St Nicholas

Glos County Cup Quarter Finals

Cirencester Town U14s 2 - 1 St Nicholas U14s

Cirencester Town were at home in the Quarter Finals of the Glos County Cup against St Nicholas from the Avon League (Bristol).

At this stage of the competition there are no easy opponents and St Nicholas proved this with a very competitive first half with the teams even at 0-0.

The second half was totally different from the first with Cirencester taking the game to St Nicholas. This resulted in Cirencester going 1-0 up with a goal from Lewis Newman.

Cirencester went  further in front with a goal by Elliot Pitt. At 2-0 the game was won as it seemed that Cirencester had most of the play and soaked up any St Nicholas pressure with ease.

However St Nicholas were awarded a late penalty which was duly converted. The game Finished with Cirencester 2-1 winners.

Cirencester Town who play in the Cheltenham Youth League now face Bristol City S.C in the semi finals of the county cup  again drawn at home.
