Seamus plays for Swindon Town in The Arena

On Sunday 5th February 2012, Clive Maguire from Swindon Town's Football in The Community programme held a football match in the Arena: Swindon Town vs Cardiff City.

The teams were made up of Downs Syndrome players including our very own Seamus Blackler playing for Swindon Town. Seamus is a regular at our first team home matches and he is the son of former Cirencester Town and Swindon Town player Martin Blackler.

Ciren's Director of Football, Alan Lloyd stated:

"I personally watched the game and it was a joy to watch giving me a good insight into this form of disability football."

The match was the return fixture of an identical match played at Cardiff in November 2011.
