Under 9s in convincing win at Malmesbury

Malmesbury Eagles U9s 1 - 4 Cirencester Town U9s
Ciren started strong, passing the ball around well and using the wingers, along with Jonny making up ground in the middle of the pitch.
After 3 mins Philip made a lovely cross from the left to give Aaron a pacey tap in at the back post, so much so that Aaron managed to wrap himself around the goal post. 0 - 1
Next, it was Aaron's turn to turn provider on 10 mins with a great pass to Philip who bagged himself a well struck goal low to the side of the keeper 0 - 2.
Aaron Mac then came on at right mid, Aaron B pushed up to striker, allowing Philip to have a well earned rest. In defence Luke moved across to right back for Kai to come on for Joe.
Philip then set himself up shortly before half time with some skill outside the area then shot as hard as he could at shoulder height to the right of the keeper who just couldn't save it as the ball rifled through his hands into the top corner. 0 - 3.
Malmesbury pinched one back from a goal mouth scramble resulting from a corner, nothing that Rio could do as the ball zipped past him 1 - 3.
2nd half and with the cushion of our goal lead it was time to make some changes and allow our players to experience playing in different positions. Luke P into left mid for Ben to have a rest and Joe back on to shore up the defence.
The 2nd half was much tougher as we were getting tired and Malmesbury were hitting us on the break.
Once Ciren had found their feet again and started to move the ball around confidently it wasn't long before Jonny put in a great cross into the danger area for Aaron B to hit the target, the ball just about trickling over the line. Final score: 1 - 4.
