Carol Jenner Cup

Cirencester Town U9s 4 - 0 Slimbridge U9s

Cirencester kicked off with purpose and kept battling and their patience was eventually rewarded when Aaron Burcham provided a cross for Ben Carter to power in the net on 8 minutes.
Slimbridge kept on battling but Luke Pennington was ever reliable in defence partnered with a solid performance by Luke Buck. Slimbridge again proved determined opposition mounting numerous attacks of their own only to be met by the wall of defence from the two Luke's spurred on by goalie Rio Hart.
Cirencester started to assert more pressure and had Slimbridge battling hard but the pressure told when Aaron cleared up a loose ball in the area to score his second.
Slimbridge were buckling under the pressure and brought Ben down in the area for a penalty - Ben stepped up only for his Penalty to be saved by the keeper.
With Cirencester keeping up the pressure at the front Ben was rewarded with his second when the front four were dominating the play. Cirencester finished dominating play although no more goals.
Slimbridge were excellent opposition with tremendous sportsmanship.
Man of the match could have gone to all nine players today, but it was left to Luke Buck to take the MOM honours.
