Under 9s in Resounding Win against Rodborough

Cirencester Town U9s 16 - 0 Rodborough Youth U9s
On Sunday we welcomed Rodborough to the Corinium Stadium in a late switch of venue.Cirencester pressurised right from the off playing our usual passing game using the wide channels to progress up field.
With Aaron Burcham starting at striker to get us going on the scoreboard, he occupied the danger zone only to watch a highly industrious Jonny Floyd, on fire in centre midfield, to score his hatrick inside 7 minutes. However it wasn't long before Aaron found himself on the scoresheet with a hatrick of his own around another goal from Jonny. 7-0 at half-time.
With the match all but won, sweeping changes were made, Aaron going in goal for Rio Hart to come out-field, Kai Genever playing as striker and moving Joe Horner-Baggs up into the midfield.
Luke Pennington came up into midfield and was first on the scoresheet in the second half. Floydie continued to find the back of the net and Kai scored up front too. Ben Carter and William Dyer came on for a run late in the second half and Ben scored twice from centre midfield and Kai completed an excellent hatrick on the final whistle, growing in confidence throughout the match.
Rodborough played up to the final whistle and weren't phased by a punishing final score of 16-0.
