Ladies Teams Match Reports for 30th October 2011

Cirencester Ladies 2 - 0 Bridgwater Ladies

The ladies returned to winning ways with a very impressive performance against newly promoted Bridgwater Town. From the start the ladies were in control and were playing some great football. Bridgwater were saved by the great performance of their in form keeper that ciren just could not beat in the early stages.

When the Ladies did break through it was Chyna Collings who latched onto a cross giving the keeper no chance.

The 2nd half started the same as the first with Ciren in total control and they went further ahead from in form Suze Berry.

The Ladies stay in 2nd plac,e one point behind leaders Downend. The ladies need to keep this form up in a bid to keep the pressure on Downend, who have three matches in hand on Ciren. The next match is away to Cleeve West who sit in third place in the table.

Cirencester Town Ladies Res 1 - 9 Wotton Bassett Town

Again the Ciren went into this game with the bare eleven and no proper keeper, and found themselves up against a very dominant, quick Bassett team who just wouldnt let Ciren get any hold into the game at all.

To make matters worse, Ciren lost Amy hall to injury, and with only ten players, they struggled going in 7-0 down at halftime.

With some changes in formation and a good chat from manager, Linda Weaven, Ciren gave a good account of themselves in the 2nd half and took the game to Bassett.

They were rewarded for their efforts when Michelle Edwards pulled one back. However, against the run of play, Bassett added two more goals to make the final score 1-9
