Cirencester Town Under 18's in convincing win away at Merthyr in FA Youth Cup
Our Cirencester Town Under 18 team won 5-0 away at Merthyr Town last Wednesday 21st September 2011, in the 1st Round Qualifying stage of the FA Youth Cup:

Cirencester travelled to Wales and came away with a convincing victory.
Cirencester took the game to Merthyr from the kick off and Josh Morse had several chances to score. Merthyr gradually came into the game but Cirencester took the lead through captain Joe Shepherd from a corner from Jacob Hayden.
Striker Danny Hale increased Cirencester's lead right on half time after a fine through ball from Jacob Hayden.
The second half saw Cirencester continuing to control the game, with Danny Hale completing his hatrick, before winger Josh Morse scored Cirencester’s fifth goal.
Our Under 18's now face Tiverton Town, who defeated Wells City 4-2 in the previous round, at home in the 2nd Round Qualifying on Thursday 6th October 2011 at The Corinium Stadium. Kick off is at 7pm.
The winners of the tie will then play the winners of the tie between Larkhall Atheltic and Weston Supermare, who play each other at Larkhall on the same night, in the 3rd Round Qualifying stage of the competition.
For this match, in addition to Academy players, under 18 players from our Development Team squad will also be considered for selection.
Come along on Thursday 6th October to support the team as they attempt to progress further in the competition.
