Cirencester Town FC form a Disability Football Team

Cirencester Town FC are looking for Disabled football players to join a new team that they are starting this September.
Coaching sessions for the team start on the 8th September at the Arena from 4.30 to 5.30pm.

The club are looking for players with learning difficulties, physical impairments and/or sensory impairments to form a team that will play in the Gloucestershire FA County League for Adult Disability football.

Players need to be over 16 years old, but there is no upper age limit, so hopefully this will provide a fantastic opportunity for disabled adults to access regular football training and competition.

The club have been successful in receiving funding from the Football Foundation, with a “Grow the Game” award to help set this team up and sustain it over the next two years. The target for the team is to be regulars in the county league and attract as many disabled players from across the Cotswolds as possible.

Paul Arnold the Disability Officer for the Gloucestershire FA commented “This is a brilliant development for any Disabled adults living in the Cirencester area, we have worked closely with the club to set this opportunity up and they have been really enthusiastic and supportive, we just need the players to take advantage of this, and come and play.”
