Brian Hughes has given his views on Saturday's pre-season friendly win at Longlevens in Danny Hall's latest Gaffer Tapes interview:

" We enjoyed that as an exercise much more than the Cheltenham Town game.

We wanted to make sure they didn’t score which was achieved and we got plenty of touches and played some football. They all got an hour on the pitch and it is all part of the process of building up fitness.

We started by playing Reidy in the hole behind the two strikers (Stone and Bevan) as that was a system that seemed to stop Cheltenham from playing the other day.

We lacked a bit of width at times and there was a lack of sharpness which was understandable. Jody Bevan missed the Cheltenham game due to a wedding and has been carrying a knock, but he got his goal...."
