Development Team Drawn At Home To Highworth In Cup Semi Final
Our Development Team have been drawn at home to Highworth Town in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Chairman's Reserve Challenge Cup Semi Final.
The match will be played on the main stadium pitch at The Corinium at 7:45pm on Thursday 21st April 2011. There has to be a result on the night. If the teams are all square after 90 minutes, 30 minutes extra time will be played and then, if necessary, there will be a Penalty Shootout.
Highworth are the clear league leaders in Reserve Division 1 and are favourites to win the cup again after winning it for the last two seasons. However, Ciren performed well against them in both league matches this season, going down 2-1 at home in November 2010 and more recently drawing 0-0 at Highworth on 26th March 2011.
The other Semi Final is between Thame United and either Gloucester City or Rayners Lane who play their Quarter Final at Gloucester this Saturday 9th April 2011.
Come along to support our young stars on Thursday 21st April in what is sure to be an entertaining match.
The Clubhouse and Bar will be open as usual.
