Development Team Go Top After Another Win

On Saturday, our Development Team won 4-2 away at Easington Sports to go top of the league with only four matches left to play.

They led 2 - 0 at half time through goals from Ollie Pitt and Ryan Chandler. Ollie scored again in the second half before the win was clinched with an own goal.

The successful result was particularly impressive considering Ciren played the whole match without a recognised goalkeeper, Mike Hedges being stuck in Egypt because of the Icelandic volcano and Adam Clatworthy being unavailable. Great credit must therefore go to Jamie Dunn who volunteered to go in goal.

All in all, it was another good result and performance from the boys with some lovely football being played.

Come along and support the Development Team at home on Thursday 22nd April, as they go into the first of two crucial matches against Letcombe, the only other team that can now realistically win the league,  as they attempt to secure promotion to the FT Futbol Hellenic League Reserve Division One. The match will be played on one of the back pitches and kicks off at 6:30pm.
