Liam Is In The England Schools U 18's Squad

After going through a tough trials process, it has been confirmed that Academy player, Liam Williams, has been selected for the England Schools Under 18 International Squad.

Starting with a game away at Northern Ireland on 26th February 2010, Liam will be involved with the squad over the next three months in the Under 18 Centenary Shield playing against all the home nations and the Republic of Ireland.

Liam was one of four Ciren players who were involved in the regional trials together with Rob Hoskin and Adam Corcoran from our Academy and Chris Mills from our Development Team.

Our Academy Coach, Steve Lowndes said "Liam has performed consistently well for the Academy, with some outstanding performances this season. A fully committed and ethusiastic member of the Academy, who's hard work and dedication has been rewarded with his selection for England Under 18's and a soccer scholarship at Hartford University, Connecticut for  August 2010."

Liam made his first team debut for Ciren at the end of September 2009, coming on as a substitute away at Abingdon United in the FA Cup, and made his first full start shortly afterwards at home to the same team in a league match.
