Former Ciren Youngster In The Premier League

                       emily_allen.jpg
Emily Allen, a former Cirencester Town player, has broken into the 1st team at The Bristol Academy in Filton.

She has played local football from the age of 5, was a member of our girl’s team from the age of 11 and although she was only allowed to sign for the Ladies towards the end of last season, once she was 16, finished as joint top goal scorer in the 2008/09 season.

Emily, who is 18 later this month, is studying a National Diploma in Sports Development at Filton College in Bristol and is a regular for the College team, who are the current National College Champions.

She was a member of the Gloucestershire Centre of Excellence at Under 14 and Under 16 and also represented Gloucestershire Cricket Club at youth level.

She has now taken a huge step forward having been selected for the Bristol Academy first team who play in the National Women’s Premier League.

She made her debut from the bench against Everton in November and has since played against Leeds and Sunderland, and with all three teams having full England regulars in their ranks, is revelling in a new challenge.

Everyone from the from the whole club would like to wish her every success in the future. She is a naturally gifted player who has bags of talent and thoroughly deserves her opportunity.
