Our Girls Under 17's Complete The Double
On Sunday our Girls Under 17 team, having already secured the South Chiltern Minor League title, beat Thatcham Town 9-3 in the League Cup Final to secure a memorable double.
Ciren did not get off to the best of starts, going 2-0 down inside ten minutes. However, they battled back strongly to take a 3-2 lead just before half-time.
They then kicked into top gear in the second half and their football ability and class was just too much for Thatcham.

Emily Allen was given the Player of the Match award.
This latest success tops off a great season and indeed a very successful journey through junior football which saw them lose just two competitive games in six years.
With the Girls moving into Ladies football next season, and their manager, Martin Tuckwell, taking over as our Ladies Manager next season, the future of Ladies football at Ciren looks very promising indeed.
