GX Cup Second Round Draw - Yet Another Away Cup Tie!
Our First Team's run of being drawn away in Cup competitions this season has continued with an away tie at Swindon Supermarine in the Second Round of the GX (Southern League) Cup. The match is scheduled to be played on Wednesday 26th November'08. Kick Off: 7:45pm.
In the First Round, Supermarine won 2-1 away at Didcot Town with goals from two players who have previously played for Ciren, Mark Draycott and Nick Stanley. Ciren qualified for this stage with a 2-1 win away at Malvern Town with goals from Julian Alsop and a Matt Williams penalty.
Gloucester City, who groundshare with us at The Corinium, have been drawn at home to Abingdon United in the same competition in a match that will be played a day earlier than our match at 7:45pm on Tuesday 25th November'08.
The ties are to be played on a single leg basis. If the scores are level after 90 minutes, an extra 15 minutes each way will be played. If the scores are still level at the end of extra time, the tie will be decided by a Penalty Shootout.
