Academy Do It Again! Win 2 - 1 At Yeovil In FA Youth Cup, Sunderland Next ....

Just back from the trip to the shiny new Huish Park, where a 56 seater bus load of players, squads and fans as well as assorted travellers by slightly more alternative vehicles saw the lads win a somewhat low key but very emphatic Second Round tie at the very impressive home of Yeovil Town.

Nice to see John McLoughlin there, our first ever Stadium Manager at the Corinium and now a hostelry cum B&B maestro in Dorchester. He well remembered the famous Fourth Round tie against Crewe Alexandra three years ago - and on tonights showing thinks it is not beyond the bounds of possibilty that this squad can go further than that very good squad.

Full report tomorrow - briefly, Yeovil scored on 17 minutes when Adam thought he could come out 35 yards to cut out a breakaway punt down the pitch. But did not quite snaffle the ball.

Rob Hoskins equalised with a subtle header on 28 minutes. And skipper Jamie Moore blasted home the winner from the spot on 38 minutes when he was dropped in the box after a Ciren corner.
