Scott Griffin Rejoins Ciren Again!

We are pleased to confirm that our former striker,Scott Griffin, has rejoined the club and goes straight into the squad for Saturday's difficult away trip to Truro City.

Scott was part of our very first intake of students into our Academy and made his first team debut in 1998. He previously rejoined the club in 2003 after leaving in 2000 for spells at Newport County, Clevedon, Salisbury City and Cinderford. He was a key member of the highly successful team that Brian assembled which finished third in the Western Division, and secured promotion to the restructured Southern League Premier Division in the 2003-04 season.

He also helped us out for a month last season before he went on a round the world trip, and made a big impression during the "purple patch" we had whilst he was in the team. It really is great to welcome "Griff" back home again!

We can also confirm that we have signed Brandon Preece, a promising young local striker who has been with the Gloucester City Youth teams under the guidance of our coach, Kevin Willetts. Brandon played in our recent friendly against Longlevens, and impressed everyone with his all action display, and scoring our third goal.

Brian is also looking to secure further replacements and has put in seven days' notice for another promising young player from a local club. Watch this space!
