Centurions Draw At Home In Entertaining Match Against Haverfordwest

Cirencester Town 1 - 1 Haverfordwest County

Adi Viveash put out a strong team on Saturday against Haverfordwest County from the Welsh Premier League, in what turned out to be a very competitive and entertaining match.

Haverfordwest went ahead on 16 minutes, when Lee Spalding, playing his first match for Ciren out of position at left back due to the absence through injury of Ben Pugh, was adjudged to have fouled Paul Michael inside the penalty area. Jack Christopher converted the penalty. Ciren however came back strongly, and on 40 minutes, were themselves awarded a penalty after Steve Davies' rght wing cross was handled in the area by Craig Hanford. For the second match running, Matt Williams scored from the penalty spot.

In the second half the match remained very competitive with both sides having chances and several robust challenges going in from the Haverfordwest players, but the score remained 1-1 at the final whistle.
