THE COLLEGE COME AWAY WITH A 3-2 WIN IN DIFFICULT CONDITIONSColeg Powys 2 - 3 Cirencester CollegeCirencester made the long journey to Mid Wales to record a 3-2 victory. Cirencester made a slow start conceding after 5 minutes having failed to clear a cross from the right. However after a poor start Cirencester began to play some excellent football and dominate in difficult windy conditions. Ross Crichton coolly scored past the advancing keeper after a fine through ball by Jake Lloyd. Cirencester were now on top, with the occasional counter attack from Powys College. Rob Dean gave Cirencester the lead with a powerful header from a Jamie Richards corner. Cirencester could have increased their lead but Ross Crichton and Rob Dean were denied by the Powys goalkeeper. The 2nd half followed a similar pattern to the first, Cirencester sealed victory with a counter attack, Ross Crichton crossing for Max Etheridge to fire home. Powys scored a consolation goal following a mix up between Adam Miller and Zak Westlake to make the final score 3-2. |
